Game Over - Why I'm Retiring from the Web
After thirty-five years in the business, I'm about to retire. This means major changes to the bmyers.com website as well as all the other projects I've worked on. Every day for the past thirty-five years, I've written an article, or published a newsletter or recorded a video, developed and supported software, and worked on many different projects. Virtually since the internet was born, I've published articles and tips online, provided product support, managed my YouTube channel, and sold products on Amazon and eBay. You may remember some of these, including:
Black Box Newsletter
Satellite Watch Newsletter
Video Marketing Letter
Product Development Letter
Bill Myers Letter
ViewBoss software
Shareware Boss
Press Release-O-Matic
Vend-O-Matic
Order Desk Pro
eShowcase
eShowcase Pro
Pubster
MembergateIn addition to the above, I've created and hosted a number of multi-day workshops, produced many full-length DVDs, recorded over two thousand video tutorials, and written more than three thousand articles for bmyers.com. I also wrote several how-to books and nine novels, some of which are available on Amazon. Many of you have been with me along the way, visiting this site, using the tools I've developed, reading my Tip of the Week and being a major part of my journey. But after thirty-five years I am announcing my retirement. I will be closing the member's area of Bill Myers Online on January 1st, and after that date will no longer publish new articles, videos, or weekly tips. The site will be in archive mode, meaning you will be able to view all the articles and videos at no cost for at least another two years without having to log into the member's area. But the discussion forum will be closed as will the download area. So even though I'm retiring, you will still be able to view, search, and read the 3,000+ articles and videos on bmyers.com. Choosing to retire wasn't an easy decision, but it was eventually going to happen and I preferred to do it on my own terms. I may update the front page of bmyers.com from time to time or post the occasional article to let visitors know what I'm up to. But the site will be mostly in archive mode after December 31, 2020. In closing, I want to say thanks for your support over the years. I will miss our daily interactions but am looking forward to the next chapter in my life.
