Big Red Pointers - high visibility mouse pointer replacements

Printer-Friendly Format

In this short video I show how to quickly add high visibility big red pointers and cursors to all versions of Windows and I provide a free package of big red cursors you can use immediately. Easy-to-add and they look great on video and screencasts

If you've viewed any of my ScreenCasts or YouTube Videos, you know that when I show computer screens in those videos, I have large red mouse pointers which make following the videos easier.

The image below shows the pointers I use:

I've been asked by members of www.bmyers.com to make those large red mouse pointers available, and to show how to install them.

And that's what I'm going to do in this article.

Downloading the Pointers

I've put all the big red mouse pointers in a single zip file which you download. Click here to start the download.

After you download the file (redcursors.zip), unzip the contents into your C:/windows/cursors folder.

After you have unzipped the file into the c:/windows/cursors folder, follow the instructions in the video below for your version of Windows.

For Windows XP & 7, do this:

For Windows 8, do this:

For Windows 10, do this:

The file with the big red pointers works with all versions of Windows and Macs. To download it, click here.
