Doing research into trends, tools, markets, models and methods is an integral part of the product development business.

When I sit down at my desk each morning, one of the first things I do is to check the latest articles appearing on a number of sites I follow. By keeping up with these news sources, I can quickly find news, trends, tools, markets and models related to my own business activities.

Because this daily research is so important to what I do, and because the process of visiting all these different sites started taking too much time, I wrote a program to automate the process.

The program I wrote goes out on the web, pulls the latest headlines from the sites that I use for research, and compiles these onto a single web page on my site (see below).

Grabbing these headlines is done with the permission of the sites involved - using their RSS feed.
