Promote your YouTube Channel with this easy tip
Bill Myers - October 7, 2011
In a previous tip of the week I showed how to customize your YouTube channel to make it more professional looking. In this week's tip, I'll show you how to get more subscribers to your YouTube channel by adding a 'Subscribe to my YouTube channel' button to your web site. It works like this. Hidden away deep inside the official YouTube Creator site is a widget that allows visitors to your web pages a one-click way to find and subscribe to your YouTube channel. By adding this simple widget to your web sites, blogs, even your signature line in discussion forums, you'll make it easy for people to learn about and subscribe to your YouTube channel. You may be asking, "what's the benefit in getting subscribers to a YouTube channel? Good question. And the answer is simple. On your YouTube channel you have a 'Post Bulletin' tab that lets you send an email message to all those who have subscribed to your channel. You can use the 'Post Bulletin' button to alert subscribers of new videos, new products, or other things they might find of interest. This is great way to reach a large audience quickly and costs nothing to set up and use. You just need subscribers to your YouTube channel. And to do that, use the YouTube 'subscribe' widget. It's free, and you can find the code and see examples at http://www.bmyers.com/public/2112.cfm
