It happens all the time. Under the stress and excitement of a live interview, people do forget things like their own name.

Here's a tip - before you pick up the phone for the interview, create a crib sheet that includes important details you'll likely need during the interview.

Include your company phone number, web site address, product name, your name, and the interviewer's name. Even a few brief phrases, like your company motto, can come in handy.

Print this crib sheet in an easily readable font, and have it in front of you during the interview. You'll be surprised at how many times it can save the day.
