Take a hike . . .

If you want to do something good for yourself, your business, and your significant other, take a hike. I mean it literally -- take a hike! Begin each day by hiking or walking at least 30 minutes. And if you are married, do it with your husband or wife. Starting the day this way cranks up your metabolism and prepares you to face the day. If you are couple, it helps you stay connected by giving you a chance to talk about what's going on in each of your lives. In addition to your morning hike, you might consider taking short walks throughout your business day. Doing so gives you a chance to clear your head by getting away from the distractions of phones, email, and computers. In our business we have learned that almost any problem or decision is easier to handle if we first take a walk and talk it over. If you haven't made walking a part of your life, you might want to try it. You could be pleasantly surprised by the results.
