Staying connected while on the road
Bill Myers
Printer-Friendly Format

The following was recently posted on our discussion forum:

vacation (n): an extended trip away from home in search of inconvenient ways to connect to the Internet

I thought it was a pretty funny post . . . and true, too.

Almost every time we are away from the office, we feel a need to connect to the internet to check our email, our web site, and our ongoing web based business.

This concern of being able to find a internet connection while on the road definitely put a crimp in our travel plans. Often, if we felt we wouldn't be able to find a connection when we got somewhere, we just wouldn't go.

But finding a connection on the road is no longer a problem for us. Using just a cell phone and a laptop computer, we have learned how to get a high speed connection to the net almost anywhere.

Connecting your laptop to your cell phone to get a fast internet connection can be surprisingly easy, and often adds nothing to your cell phone bill.

To learn how we connect to the internet with a cell phone and laptop while on the road check out my article at Connect to the internet using your cell phone and laptop computer

And yes, now that we can connect anywhere, anytime, more road trips are definitely in our future.
