They do want to order from you, here's how to make it possible
Bill Myers
Printer-Friendly Format

Open the door to millions of potential customers by making this small change to your order form

I was recently contacted by a US soldier who wanted to know why we didn't include 'APO' addresses on our web site order form. He wanted to place an order, but without the APO address option, he couldn't get the product shipped to him.

Frankly I wasn't sure what a APO address was, so I did a little research and discovered that the MPSA (Military Postal Service Agency), a branch of the US Post office, provides special APO (and FPO) addresses to make it easy for military personnel to receive mail anywhere in the world.

Adding the option of APO/FPO addresses to your order form is easy and opens the door to millions of potential customers.

To add APO/FPO shipping options, just include the following in the list of US states you ship to:

APO American Armed Forces Europe - state abbreviation AE APO American Armed Forces Americas - state abbreviation AA APO American Armed Forces Pacific -state abbreviation AP

This simple addition will make it easy for military personnel worldwide to order from your web site. And there is no extra work for you when you get these orders - APO/FPO packages are prepared and shipped the same as local mail - and the postage costs no more.

Adding APO/FPO options to your order form is good business - it means several million more customers can do business with you, and lets service people order what they need or want, when they want it.
