New DVD from Bill Myers - Metal Detecting Florida Beaches

Have you been Googled today?
Bill Myers

As you probably know, I recently produced a DVD on how to produce DVDs. Sales of the DVD have been quite good.

What surprises a lot of people is that my ad budget for the DVD rarely exceeds $50 a month.

My secret? I advertise using Google Ad Words - which insures that when anyone searches Google or any of its partners for a keyword related to the topic of my DVD, my ad shows up at the top of the search return page.

Google runs these ads for me at no charge. That's right, when my ad appears, it doesn't cost me a penny.

But when a potential customer clicks on the ad taking them to my site, Google earns a 'click through' fee - which in my case is about six cents an ad.

Last month, Google displayed my ad to over 60,000 visitors, and about 1,000 of those visitors clicked my ad and visited my site to read more (and in many cases, buy) the DVD. Total cost to me for those 60,000 ad impression, and 1,000 new visitors to my site was less than $60. A real bargain.

If you have products for sale, you definitely should consider using Google Ad Words to drive traffic to your sales page. To learn more, visit http://adwords.google.com/select/faq/index.html

By the way, search Google for 'how to videos' and you'll see my ad.
