People are always asking me, "What kind of projects should I get involved with?"

Here's the question I ask them . . .

"If you had all the money you needed, and plenty of free time, what would you be doing today? What activity, hobby, or pursuit would you be involved in?"

Throw out any answers that have to do with paying off bills or making more money.

In most cases, your answer to this question is a good directional pointer for the next project in your life. Find something you'd do if you didn't have to work, and make that your work. In essence, follow your dreams, and others will pay to read about your discoveries and adventures, usually because others will share the same dream, but won't have the time or resources to follow it themselves.
