How to send your press release to 60,000 media contacts for FREE

Printer-Friendly Format

Here is the quick and easy way to create and send your press release to a network of 60,000 media contacts (and all the search engines) for free. A zero cost way to gain free publicity for your products, services, and web sites.

I strongly believe that when it comes to sending press releases, you'll get much better results if you carefully select the recipients of your press release (magazines, newspapers, newsletters, and radio), and then create and mail a personalized press release for each of them.

However, in many cases, you don't have the time or resources to do this. In those cases, using the resource described below can be a good idea.

How to send your press release to 60,000 media contacts for FREE

After you create your press release (use the tool at http://www.bmyers.com/members/539.cfm), you can quickly have it published to a network of 60,000 media contacts - for free. Here's how.

  1. Write your press release. Write it yourself, or use the Press Release Generator I wrote, and use existing press releases as a guideline.

  2. Visit PRWEB and register for a free account. Go to PRWeb Free Registration.

  3. After you join PRWEB, log into PRWEB. To log in go to PRWEB Login.

  4. From the PRWEB menu, select Submit Your Press Release. To submit your press release go to Submit Press Release.

  5. Publish your press release. After you submit your press release, you will be able to publish it to the network of 60,000 journalists. You can choose to 'contribute' funds to get a higher placement in the list of press releases published, but this is totally voluntary and probably makes little difference in your results.

  6. That's all you have to do.

The advantages of using PR Web to send out press releases

  • It is FREE.
  • PRWEB press releases can potentially be read by 60,000 members of the media.
  • PRWEB press releases are indexed by Google. Including a link to your web page in the body text of the press release can increase your google ranking.

The truth is, submitting a press release through PRWeb probably won't get you much attention from the media. However, the press releases are indexed by Google, and having your web site link in your press release can increase your Google ranking, and can also help people who search Google find out about your site.

So while the results might not be earth shattering, there are definitely some benefits to doing this, and the price (FREE) certainly is right.
