Staying in Practice
Bill Myers
So last week I purchased an old keyring with ten skeleton keys. The week before, I purchased a video on powerboat handling. And the week before that, I purchased a lot of 10 paperback novels (for $6.12). All from eBay auctions. This week I'm selling a few items on eBay. Nothing expensive, just a few old books I wanted to clear out. I really don't need to buy and sell these small items on eBay. In fact, I could probably find the small things I'm buying on eBay at local bookstores, flea markets, or garage sales. And the things I'm selling on eBay - I could donate them to a local charity. But I think knowing how to buy and sell items on eBay is an important skill to have in this day and age. So I make it a point to buy or sell something on eBay every week. Even buying and selling small items allows me to build up a healthy feedback score (important when you want to sell something) and gives me a good excuse to to refresh my skills with the buying and selling tools I use on eBay auctions. A good friend of mine does much better on eBay than I do. He currently nets over $15,000 a month selling items on eBay. He started small, listing just one or two items a week. Now, his eBay earnings are allowing him to quit his job, spend more time with his family, and play the eBay game a little harder. And that's why it is a good idea to stay in practice using eBay. Because from small acorns, giant trees can grow.
