Here's why you should be thinking about Christmas in the middle of July

So it's the middle of July and the Christmas holiday season is probably the furthest thing from your mind.

But if you are in the business of developing or marketing products, now is the time to think about Christmas.

The reason?

If you want to get ads, press releases, product reviews or other information about your products into major magazines in time for the Christmas buying issues, you've only got a few more weeks until those magazines close those issues.

Most magazines have a mid-August or earlier cut off date for articles and ads to be included in October and November issues.

So if you want to get your products mentioned in those magazines in time for the holiday season, now is the time to send out those press releases and product review articles.

Wait a few weeks and it might be too late.
