Tell Me the Price!
Bill Myers
Printer-Friendly Format

Don't you just hate it when you find something you want, either on the web or in the newspaper classifieds, and the ad says 'Call for price"?

What is the seller thinking?

The seller has paid for an ad, found a potential customer, but wants me to call him for the price?

What if I don't want to call? What if it is too late in the day to call? What if the seller isn't home?

Or what if when I see an ad with 'Call for price', I assume the price must be too high, and the seller wants me to call so they can try to convince me to buy.

For all those reasons and more, most potential customers won't 'Call for price'.

And the seller loses out.

Moral: If you have something to sell, always include the price in the ad.
