Build new products from content you've already created
If you've written articles, produced short video tips, or even written 'tips of the week' like this one, you may have everything you need to create a new product. Simply by 're-purposing' the content you've created. Here's an example. For the members area of my web site, I've written over 2,000 articles and produced more than 300 video tips. And for the most part, those articles and videos can only be viewed by paying members. This means millions of non-members haven't seen any of those videos or articles. And that's a huge market of potentially new customers. With that in mind, I've just created a new product by pulling together more than 500 minutes of video clips from the members area of my site, and putting those on a DVD I call '201 Video Tips & Tricks for Product Developers and Internet Marketers'. This DVD contains video tips on web business building, product development, internet marketing tools, search engine optimization, video editing, and much more. With more than 500 minutes of content, this is the equivalent of a video library of 10 DVDs! And rather than charge what 10 DVDs would normally cost, I offer this complete video library for $34.95 - even less if you are a member of my site. I'm able to do this because I 're-purposed' video content I had already created - which keeps development costs way down. And you might be able to create your own 'new' products by doing the same, re-purposing content you've already created. To read more about re-purposing and the DVD I just created, check out the article at http://www.bmyers.com/public/1882.cfm It's in the public section of our site, so you don't need to be a member to read it.
