Give yourself a project and a deadline
Bill Myers - June 12, 2010

One of best ways to learn anything is to learn by doing.

Yes, it can help to read a book or watch a video showing the way.

But until you get your hands dirty actually doing something, you'll never really know what it takes.

That's why one the quickest and surest ways to learn anything is to have a project and set a deadline.

For example, you might set a goal of creating and uploading a video to YouTube within the next 7 days.

Or set a goal of selling one item over $100 on eBay by month's end.

Or set a goal of getting at least one book or DVD you have created listed for sale on Amazon Advantage within the next 30 days.

Setting these kinds of goals, and then following through gives you the experience and confidence to expand your experiences into new projects and growing a businesses.

But just reading about the successes of others doesn't really count for much.

It's the action of actually doing and staying with the project until it is completed that is important.
