Simple changes can produce big results
Bill Myers - May 7, 2010

Here's how making a simple change in the description field of your YouTube videos, can result in a clickable link on YouTube that goes straight to your webpage

As we all know the internet is ever changing.

What was new yesterday, might be old and out of date today - or so it seems.

One of the new things on the internet that might affect you is the new page layout at YouTube.

This new page layout is optimized for playing larger videos, while giving YouTube room to place ads on the page.

For the most part, this redesign has been a good thing - especially the part about viewing videos in a larger window.

However, to fit everything on the page, YouTube has reduced the amount of text description shown with each video.

This can affect you if you have videos at YouTube, and if you include links back to your web site in the text descriptions of those videos.

Unless you make adjustments to the video description text, important information, including the link back to your site, is probably now hidden by the new YouTube page layout.

There is a way to fix this so your video has a clickable link to your site immediately below your videos at YouTube.

You can probably figure out how to make the changes yourself - but if not, find a video in the members section of our site showing the problem, and how to fix it.

Find that video at http://www.bmyers.com/members/1826.cfm
