Sports or the Movies

Printer-Friendly Format

If you check out 'what people earn', you'll discover some of the highest earners in the world are either sports stars (baseball players signing hundred million dollar contracts) or movie stars earning twenty million per movie.

Since the chances for most of us to become a sports or movie star are quite slim, we have to look for alternatives.

One area where some people hit the jackpot is in the movie script writing business.

While not many make it, it is not unheard of for an unknown writer to come up with a movie idea that sells for several hundred thousand dollars.

And you or I could certainly qualify as unknown writers, right?

In any case, if you can come up with an interesting concept, maybe something like 'The Men Who Stare At Goats', you might do well as a movie script writer.

You say you haven't heard of 'The Men Who Stare At Goats' movie?

It stars George Clooney and is a comedy about a psychic spy. Check out the preview (G rated) at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qszzV1tkzoE

If you want to try your hand at coming up with movie ideas like that one, try my free Movie Idea Generator at http://www.bmyers.com/public/807.cfm

You might be surprised with the results.

Print out your movie ideas and send them to your agent in Hollywood.

And feel free to send me a cut of the royalty checks you receive.
