Just for fun: Chromakey Outtakes

Printer-Friendly Format

Just for fun . . . Here's a short video of some outtakes I made using Chromakey. Everything you see was shot in front of a greenscreen, with the video backgrounds added later. It'll make you smile.

So, I was testing a way to speed up an hour of video and fit it into just 60 seconds. Basically I wanted to convert 1 hour of video into a 60 second 'time lapse' effect.

And to do the test I needed some video footage, so I grabbed the first video file I found on my harddrive.

That video file turned out to be some chromakey tests I had worked on last year. Basically shots in front of a greenscreen, with different video backgrounds added.

After succeeding at the timelapse effect I wanted, I thought you might be interested in seeing the chromakey outtakes (at high speed).

So I added a soundtrack, and converted to flash flv format so I could place on this site.

To see the video, click the play button on the video player below.

Notes:

  • I used Sony Movie Studio Platinum 7 to create the chromakey effects
  • I used stock footage from Digital Juice Video Traxx library for most of the backgrounds
  • The background audio is from Digital Juice BackTraxx 2 royalty free music library

In a future article, I'll show you how you can convert existing video into timelapse video, using a free tool I discovered while doing the above testing.
