This past week, one of the most read articles on the internet had the headline, '10 Things to buy before the economy improves'.

The headline was a real attention grabber, and a lot of people read the article - many out of fear of not knowing about the ten items on the list.

The premise of the article was simple.

Sometime, probably late this year, the recession is going to end. And when it does, the deals you're seeing on everything from houses and cars to televisions and furniture will disappear.

I'm not sure if this is true or not, and I'm not going to reprint the list as that is not the real point of this week's tip.

The real point is how a great headline, especially one that promises a list, will almost always draw a crowd.
