New DVD from Bill Myers - Metal Detecting Florida Beaches
bmyers.com | Tip of the Week | Heres your sign . . . Search

Here's your sign . . .
Bill Myers March 13, 2009
Printer-Friendly Format

Sometimes you'll find your best advice on a sign.

For example, I recently drove a thousand miles of back-roads, and just about every ten to 15 miles, I'd pass a country church that had a sign out front with a quote of the week on it.

If you've ever driven through the deep south, no doubt that you've seen some of these signs.

Some of the quotes are humorous, some are religious, and some are just difficult to understand.

But a few of these quotes really get to the point.

One of my favorites I saw this past week was . . .

"Count your blessings, not your problems"

As it turns out, that is very good advice. Especially for product developers.

Instead of worrying about the economy or worrying about what you don't have, review the 'blessings' you do have, and use those to your advantage.

For example, we are all blessed to live in the age of the internet. Where all it takes to start a world-wide business is a computer with a connection to the web.

Sometimes with all the bad economic news, we tend to forget that most of us have the tools and expertise to quickly create profitable products and business ventures just by using what we have.

That's why my tip of the week this week is . . .

"Count your blessings, not your problems"
