Finding what others left behind
Bill Myers - February 14, 2009
Printer-Friendly Format

When I first wrote about this subject, I called it 'abandonware'.

Products and domain names that the original owners abandon due to changes in their business.

For example, a company owning hundreds of domain names might go out of business, leaving no one to renew all the great domain names they own.

Without renewals those domain names become 'abandonware', and become available for others to register them.

That's why right now is a good time to check the availability of great domain names in your niche market.

To find these domain names, I use a free tool that searches all available combinations of any given word or phrase and instantly shows what domain names are available.

You can find a link to this tool as well as my video showing how I use it at http://www.bmyers.com/public/1546.cfm

With so many great domain names being abandoned these days, it pays to check domain name availability often.

You just might discover a real gem of a domain name that someone else let expire.
