Reward Customers who buy more

Reward Customers who buy more, not less

When the CEO of big box retailer COSTCO was asked why COSTCO stores don't have express checkout lanes for purchasers with 10 items or less, he responded . . .

"Why should we provide an incentive (an express checkout) for people to buy less?

Our goal is to reward shoppers who buy more, not less."

And doesn't that make a lot of sense?

Instead of offering rewards to customers who buy the fewest items, why not reward the customers who buy the most?

If you want to try this on your web site, considering offering free shipping for orders over $100.

This gives your customer a reason to purchase more, and a feeling of saving money when they do.

The net result is the customer feels good, and you get orders with larger dollar amounts.

Not a bad idea,
