Call to Doody
Bill Myers October 14, 2007
In a recent episode of the TV show 'King of the Hill', the owner of a dog doody removal service offered this advice . . . "You don't get rich doing what you love. You get rich doing something no one else wants to do." And while that advice is contrary to what most experts will tell you, it is often true. You can get rich by taking on the jobs other people would rather pay someone else one to do than do themselves. Whether it be removing dog poop from back yards, cleaning offices at night, or hauling scrap metal - there are people getting rich doing those jobs no one else wants to do. In fact, many on the Forbes list of Billionaires made their fortunes by building businesses doing what others didn't want to do. This doesn't mean you should forget your dream of making a living doing what you love. In just means that in life, the "dream jobs" often pay the least (because everyone wants to do them), and the jobs no one wants to do often pay the best. Find an interesting article about this at
