It is a rather bland looking site.

Still, it is the 7th most visited site on the web, getting an estimated five billion page views per month from 20 million visitors.

What makes this site so appealing is that you can zero in on your own local area, and quickly see what people in your community are selling. Or wanting to buy. Or talking about.

And you can join in by posting your own ads, job listings, or discussion forum messages - at no charge.

The site is Craigslist.org, and my wife and I visit it every day - looking at the things for sale in our local area (Fayetteville, Arkansas).

We've found some pretty interesting things for sale, like a fire tower (the kind with a cabin on top).
