Domain Name Forwarding
Bill Myers
Printer-Friendly Format

Whenever I hear an interesting word or trendy phrase, I rush to my domain name registrar to check to see if the name for the word or phrase is available.

If the domain name is available, I quickly register it along with common variations of the word.

I register these domain names either to use for my own future projects, or to sell to others who might be interested in them.

More often than not, I sell the domain name. And on average, I'll earn about a thousand dollars a month selling domain names.

Buyers for these domain names are able to find me because I use domain name forwarding - which means when someone enters a domain name I own ( ie http://www.copyrightyourbook.com ), they are automatically forwarded to my 'domain names for sale' page, where they see a list of domain names, and a way to contact me.

Domain name forwarding is a free and easy way to forward potential buyers of your unused domain names to a page on your active web site.

To learn more, check out the screencast video I created showing how to set up domain name forwarding. View it at http://www.bmyers.com/members/1186.cfm
