I've read that the desire to travel might be genetic, tied to the way our very ancient ancestors had to migrate with the seasons to survive.

Whatever the reason, almost everyone has the urge to travel, to see new places.

And it is more than just travel.

According to the US Census, Americans change homes with a frequency only surpassed by desert nomads.

So maybe we are all hard-wired with the nomadic desire to move with the seasons.

All I know is, my wife and I have just sold our latest home and are moving across the country to another new place.

Mainly because we felt the urge to move.
