Hitting the Publicity Jackpot
Bill Myers
If you've read some of my recent articles, you know I'm a big
proponent of 'zero cost marketing.' Well, this week our zero cost strategy really paid off. First, PC World magazine (July 2005) mentioned our MemberGate
software in '30 Things You Didn't Know You Could Do On The
Internet.' Along with the mention, they provided a direct link to
the MemberGate web site. Then TechSmith (developers of Camtasia) let us know they are
featuring a profile of our company in upcoming magazine ads. The
profile, which also includes a link to our site, goes into great
detail about how we use Camtasia to create tutorial videos for
MemberGate. And just yesterday we were contacted by an author working on a
book to be published by SAMS Publishing, and available at major
bookstores this fall. The author requested a review copy of our 'Producing How-To DVDs'
so she could reference it in the book. Obviously, we are pretty excited about all this free publicity -
especially from such high profile sources. Zero Cost Marketng does pay off. To learn more about how you can apply zero cost strategies, check
out the articles I've written on the subject at http://www.bmyers.com/public/department50.cfm.
